Williamsburg, Va. – Bring your co-workers and bag lunches, and attend a free series of customer service and leadership workshops at the Discovery Center for Economic and Workforce Development located in the New Town area at 5308 Discovery Park Boulevard. Each session is designed to instill behaviors for acknowledging and responding appropriately to a customer’s human needs – behaviors that often make the difference between losing a customer … and keeping one for a lifetime.
The sessions are as follows:
- Serving a World of Customers
12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 16
Learn and apply skills for providing helpful, sensitive and respectful service that is tailored to customers’ unique needs.
- Reaching for Stellar Service
12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 29
Examine the value of stellar service and the role of the service provider in achieving it.
Classes are small and interactive, so seats are limited. Register today to reserve your space. You may register for one or two sessions by calling (757) 345-2806 or (757) 345-2786. You may also register via email at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. This free series is sponsored by Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC).
TNCC began offering classes at the Discovery Center in January 2009. The Center is a collaborative effort between TNCC, the College of William & Mary, and James City County. TNCC Workforce Development offers education, training and professional development programs for the business community, current company employees, entrepreneurs, transitional and dislocated workers needing to advance workplace skills. Leadership sessions are coming soon.
