TNCC Renames Welcome Center, Adds Daily Registration Workshops to Help New Students

Formally called the Welcome Center, the Registration Self-Service Center (RSSC) on Thomas Nelson Community College’s (TNCC) Hampton campus in room 221-I, Griffin Hall, offers daily Registration Workshops to help new students start strong.
The daily sessions take place at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and last about 30 minutes. An additional workshop takes place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Also open to continuing students who need a refresher, the workshops provide instruction on:
- logging in to the Student Information System, MyTNCC
- locating TNCC email
- Blackboard
- self-service options including registration
- tuition payment
- Adding/dropping/swapping classes
- how to view financial aid awards, and more
Workshop participants also get the opportunity to work on their class schedules and receive other assistance as needed.
Students may sign up at www.tncc.edu/RegWorkshop using available computers in RSSC, Griffin Hall kiosks and the College Library. For new students who cannot attend a workshop, written instructions are available online at www.tncc.edu/RegInstructions .
