THE VIRGINIA PENINSULA – New and returning students at Thomas Nelson Community College still have the opportunity to start or continue their education this spring . A new eight-week accelerated class session starts at TNCC on Wednesday, March 15, 2006. The new accelerated eight-week session comprises over 30 courses that will be offered in the Hampton and the Historic Triangle campus and include traditional day and evening classes as well as online classes. Students can register now online at www.tncc.edu or in person during the following times: Monday – Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 to 4:00 p.m. All services needed for registration will be available during those times at both the Hampton and Historic Triangle campus. New students can also apply for admission by filling out an interactive online application available on the TNCC website at www.tncc.edu. The application can be submitted electronically to the TNCC Admissions Office. Continuing students can also register and pay online 24 hours a day by using NelsonOnLine, the TNCC student information system.
The following classes will start on March 15: Algebra I, Bowling, Multimedia Software, College Composition, College Success Skills, Elementary Statistics, Ethics, Foundations of Biology, History & Appreciation of Art, Introduction to Computer Applications & Concepts, Introduction to Psychology, Medical Terminology, Networking Fundamentals, Pre-Calculus, Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Public Speaking, Principles of Sociology, Religions of the World I, Sports Appreciation, Survey of American Literature, Tennis I, United States History II, Volleyball and Web Page Design.
