TNCC will be closed due to Hurricane Irene

Update: 6pm, August 29th - The Southeast Higher Education Center will also operate on a normal schedule on Tuesday, 08/30.

Update: 1pm, August 29th - TNCC will operate on a normal schedule on Tuesday, 08/30 for the Hampton and Historic Triangle Campuses. Additional details will be forthcoming.


All Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) classes are canceled and campuses will be closed to the public and non-essential personnel on Friday, August 26, Saturday, August 27, and Monday, August 29 in anticipation of Hurricane Irene.

Visit www.tncc.edu for updates. Students, faculty and staff are asked to register for the e2Campus emergency alert system. Local broadcast media will also be requested to carry announcements about class cancellations and campus closures.

College officials advise all students,faculty and staff to take safety precautions as the storm approaches. To check for weather updates, visit http://www.weather.gov/ or the National Weather Service for Hampton Road.

Will the add/drop date for classes be extended because of this?
