It’s not too late to start fall classes at Thomas Nelson Community College. The college’s second eight-week class session starts Saturday, October 17. Take classes at the Hampton campus, the Historic Triangle campus in Williamsburg and at the Southeast Higher Education Center located at An Achievable Dream Middle and High School in Newport News. Registration can be done online at www.tncc.edu or in person during the following times: Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 208, Griffin Hall on the Hampton campus. At the Historic Triangle campus, visit room 117 to register. Tuition payment for this eight-week class session is due at the time of registration.
More than 50 courses are available during the upcoming eight-week session including: Algebra I and II, Bowling I, College Composition I and II, College Success Skills, Computers and Information Systems, Construction Planning and Scheduling, Developmental Psychology, Ethics, Exercise and Nutrition I, First Aid and Safety, History and Appreciation of Art I and II, Introduction to Business and Introduction to Computer Applications and Concepts.
Classes also available during the second eight-week session are Introduction to Human Services, Introduction to Telecommunications, Introductory Microbiology, Keyboarding I and II, Multimedia Software, Music Appreciation II, Office Administration II, Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Psychology, Principles of Public Speaking, Principles of Sociology, Sports Appreciation, Statistics, Tennis I, Topics in Education, Topics in Geology, United States History I and II, Volleyball, Web Page Design II and Writing for Business.
