Since 7:20 a.m. today, Friday, August 20, Thomas Nelson Community College’s Hampton Campus has been experiencing intermittent power outages. Dominion Power was on site immediately to resolve the issue. As of 9:30 a.m., power at the Hampton Campus has been restored. Operations at TNCC’s Historic Triangle Campus, Peninsula Workforce Development Center and Southeast Higher Education Center were not affected.
Extended Registration Hours Effective Today (August 20) through 5:00 p.m.
Due to the power outage experienced today on TNCC’s Hampton Campus, the operating hours for direct student services — Student Registration, Bookstore, Cashiering and Advising — are extended through 5:00 p.m. (Hampton Campus only)
Hampton Campus Closed as of 5:00 p.m., Saturday, August 21 through Sunday, August 22
The Hampton Campus will close at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, and remain closed through Sunday, August 22 for scheduled electrical maintenance work. Students, faculty, staff and the public should not be on the Hampton Campus during these hours. TNCC’s Historic Triangle Campus, Peninsula Workforce Development Center and Southeast Higher Education Center will not be affected. The Hampton Campus will reopen for all classes, activities and regular business hours on Monday, August 23.
