Virginia Foundation for Community College Education announces the new Valley Proteins Fellowships program

The Virginia Foundation for Community College Education (VFCCE) has announced its new Valley Proteins Fellowships program. This prestigious scholarship will award up to $5,000 for tuition, books, fees and expenses next year to 10 Virginia community college students planning to enter their second full academic year. The scholarship application will be available the first week of January online at
The deadline to apply is April 2. Fellows will be selected for the 2012-13 academic year based on their academic records, leadership potential and commitment to community service.
In addition to financial support, the Valley Proteins Fellowships program gives students opportunities to share in cultural and educational experiences and meet with successful business and government leaders from across the commonwealth. Fellows will also receive a $3,000 summer stipend.
