What brought you to the area?
I moved here over 20 years ago when my father got a new job in Williamsburg
What is your teaching philosophy?
I am a proponent of active learning, and my classroom is very rambunctious with discussion about the topic we are currently discussing. I love hearing stories from my students about what they learned in class and how they were able to see it in the streets.
What do you hope your students take away from your courses?
How to save lives and care for others
What do you like to do on the weekends?
Anything outside: biking, kayaking, fishing, camping, and spending time with family
What is the most memorable place you have traveled to?
Paris but Vegas is lots of fun!
What is in your refrigerator right now?
Homemade truffles, mini cheesecake key lime pies, strawberries, lots of different kinds of cheeses, wine, bottled water, orange juice
What makes you laugh out loud?
Sarcasm and smart humor
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I don't have one "great achievement" I have done many things in my life that I consider to be pretty fun and amazing but not one single achievement stands out.
What is your greatest extravagance?
I love food, cooking, trying new recipes/new restaurants. So, cooking utensils or trying new restaurants would probably be the greatest extravagance.
