Calling All Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs!
Each year, the Commonwealth of Virginia spends more than $8 billion on goods and services. Goods and services that you probably sell! Are you getting your share?
Most of these requests are published through eVA, Virginia’s eProcurement portal. eVA is a web-based purchasing system used by the state of Virginia. State agencies, colleges, universities and many local governments use eVA to announce bid opportunities, invite bidders, receive quotes, and place orders for goods and services.
Becoming SWaM certified is just the first step in doing business with the Commonwealth. During this workshop, a representative from the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD) will walk you through the SWaM Program, certification types, the application process and the new on-line portal (live demo), how to use your certification to do business with the Commonwealth (an intro to eVA).
Topics to be covered:
* What is eVA? * Purchasing in the Commonwealth * Purchasing Cycle * Vendor's Manual * Small Purchase Policy * eVA Tools * A Vendor’s Perspective * How buyers use the eVA system to "shop" * Navigating eVA’s Free Public Reports * Live demo and walk thru of eVA’s Public Report * Much More!
Cost is $10!
