This Fellowship is a collaborative partnership between the Virginia Bankers Association Education Foundation and the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education with a mission to provide opportunities for deserving students to attend a Virginia community college to pursue their academic goals, strengthen their leadership skills, and learn more about the banking industry. Twelve students will be designated as Virginia Banking Fellows and receive an award of $7,000 to support tuition, books, fees and other expenses related to their education.
Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders In addition to receiving financial support, the Virginia Banking Fellows will join a cohort of future leaders participating in activities designed to expand their community involvement and leadership skills while exploring the merits of a career in banking. Three leadership forums are held throughout Virginia where Fellows meet and learn from leaders in state and local government, business, education, and non-profit organizations. All costs to attend the leadership forums are covered by the fellowship (including transportation, accommodation, and meals).
