A key phase of Thomas Nelson’s return to pre-pandemic conditions will occur July 6 when its two campuses (Hampton and Historic Triangle) reopen to the public.
College officials published a 36-page Return to Campus Plan, which is available at https://www.tncc.edu/sites/default/files/content-documents/Ret_Cam_Sum_Fall%202021_Final_Rev1.pdf. The plan includes a letter from President Dr. Towuanna Porter Brannon, hours of operation, health and safety mitigation strategies, and more.
Brannon and the President’s Cabinet returned to campus June 1, with deans and directors returning June 15. On June 29, faculty on summer contracts and staff returned, and supervisors met with the interim director of human resources.
All faculty will be welcomed back to campus Aug. 16, with students being welcomed back Aug. 23, which also is the date 16-week, eight-week (1) and five-week courses begin.
