The next few weeks will bring many opportunities for learning and fun at Thomas Nelson.

The College will begin offering Adult Basic Education/GED/ESL courses at its Southeast Center (located at An Achievable Dream Middle and High School in Newport News) next month. An information session is scheduled for 5:30-7 p.m. on Monday, March 5.

Also starting in March, Thomas Nelson’s Outreach Coordinator Alyson LeMaster will begin conducting an Outreach Series at the C. Waldo Scott Center in Newport News. The noon to 2 p.m. seminars will run Thursdays, March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, July 11 and Aug. 1.

For more information about the March 5 information session or the Outreach Series, contact LeMaster at or (757) 283-7820 ext. 63532.

If you have ever wanted to be on “Jeopardy,” Student Life and Leadership is offering that chance of sorts with its Black History Month Game Show. Similar to “Jeopardy,” the show is set for Thursday, Feb. 28 and will also feature Astro Entertainment. Almost a month later, on March 26,  a Women’s History Month Game Show with an identical format is scheduled. Both events start at noon and will be held in Gators Café, Griffin Hall.

Student Life and Leadership is also gearing up to present Spring Fest on March 14 at the Hampton campus. Details will be be provided soon.
