Thomas Nelson’s Care Team, on which information is accessible via Canvas, is gearing up for its fall Pop-Up Clothes Closet, an effort that provides free clothes, shoes and more for those in need.
Canvas offers easy access to resources students may need in order to be successful. In Canvas, faculty and students can simply scroll to the bottom of their course homepage and find these helpful resources:
- Thomas Nelson Student Handbook
- E2Campus/Omnilert information
- Link to the Care Team homepage
The Student Handbook includes policies and procedures related to student issues such as the Student Code of Conduct, Title IX, and Expressive Activity.
The E2Campus/Omnilert information outlines how to sign up to receive emergency alerts via text message from College officials.
The Care Team homepage includes the College’s Community Resource Guide, details about two on-campus food pantries, and information on how to join Care Team efforts. Among Care Team initiatives is the Pop-Up Clothes Closet, which provides free clothes and more for those in need. This fall, it’s set for Nov. 19-21 at Hampton campus in Moore Hall’s Espada Room.
Please begin collecting gently-used clothing and shoes for all ages, as well as children’s book and toiletries, to donate. Details will be provided soon.
Direct questions about these resources to Dr. Betsy Harrison, Student Services dean and Title IX coordinator, at (757) 253-4881 or email@example.com.
