To enroll students must attend an information session. The 5:30 – 7 p.m. sessions take place Monday, Nov. 26 and Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Thomas Nelson’s Workforce Development Center (second floor) at 4135 Ironbound Rd. in Williamsburg.
A Thomas Nelson Workforce Development program, ChefsGo was created after area chefs noticed a need for employees with basic culinary skills. They partnered with Thomas Nelson, James City County and other industry leaders. ChefsGo students undergo 11 weeks of classroom instruction and hands-on training at Warhill High School and the College’s Workforce Center and a 15-week internship with a local chef follows.
