Catherine Jumper, a Colonel with the Virginia Air National Guard, has been added to the panel of speakers at the Empower You Women’s Conference on March 16 at Thomas Nelson.
Jumper commands the 192nd Maintenance Group at Langley Air Force Base. She grew up in an Air Force family and graduated from the University of Virginia in 1995, where she commissioned through the ROTC program. She spent 10 years on active duty (Langley Air Force Base and Osan Air Base, South Korea) before transitioning into the Air Force Reserve. She joined the Virginia Air National Guard in 2015, and was named to her current post in December 2017. She and her husband, along with their two sons, live in Virginia Beach.
Other speakers for the conference are Jennifer Tretheway (author and “change agent," Queen Esther Marros (singer), Rachel De Barros (TV host), Sandra Robertson (Thomas Nelson professor), Vickie Williams Cullins (conflict resolution specialist), Kristi Anderson (expert angler) and Nikkisha Bell-Griffin (early childhood educator).
The event, which will be held in Wythe Hall, starts with registration from 8:15-8:55 a.m. The conference follows from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
