Come One, Come All for Open-Mic Poetry Series

August 29, 2019

Thomas Nelson invites all poets, spoken word artists, and wordsmiths to let their creativity flow during the open-mic Poetry Coffeehouse Series throughout fall semester. Sponsored by Student Life and Leadership, the open-mic gatherings will take place at campuses in Hampton and the Historic Triangle, Williamsburg.

Students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to share their original work or favorite poem. Featuring English faculty Tom Rockson and Janice Hoffman along with Distance Learning Librarian Bob Harrison as facilitators, the free series will also include refreshments.

Also open to spectators, the 1 – 2 p.m. Poetry Coffeehouse Series will take place in the library at the Historic Triangle campus, and Diggs Hall’s room 158 in Hampton with a different theme each month.
