Free Open-Mic Poetry Series Continues Dec. 4

Poets, spoken word artists and wordsmiths, the chance to showcase your artistry has arrived. Thomas Nelson Community College invites you to participate in its open-mic Poetry Coffeehouse Series. Sponsored by Student Life and Leadership, the free open-mic gatherings take place at campuses in Hampton and the Historic Triangle, Williamsburg.

Students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to share original work or favorite poems, and spectators are also invited. Featuring facilitators from the English department and College libraries, the series also includes light refreshments. 

The 1 – 2 p.m. Poetry Coffeehouse gatherings take place in the library at the Historic Triangle campus and Diggs Hall’s room 158 in Hampton. Each month brings a different theme.
