Two Thomas Nelson men’s basketball players were honored for their performances during the 2018-19 season, which came to a close last month.

Vincent Collins of Hampton was named to the first-team All-Hampton Roads by The Small College Sports Report, which covers Virginia, North Carolina and Southeastern small college athletics. Collins, a guard who transferred from Maryland's Garett College averaged 18 points per game for the season.

Montay Hood, from Williamsburg, was named to the second team. Also a guard, he transferred from Pennsylvania's Cairn University, and averaged 13 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks.

In one other item of note, the report named Shahodd Singleton the player of the week in early February. He scored 20 points and added eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals in a 98-72 victory over Germanna Community College.
