New Committee to Devise Strategy for Growing Enrollment

October 2, 2017

Thomas Nelson Community College has established the Select Committee for Enrollment to solicit ideas for attracting new students to grow enrollment.

Emphasizing creativity and innovation, the 10-member group will engage the College community for suggestions on various areas such as new ways of operation, new organizational structures, new communications strategies, new programs, new ways of offering classes and more to spark enrollment growth. College officials are already pursuing several strategies that the committee’s efforts will complement, notes Thomas Nelson President John Dever.

Nominated by the College Support Staff Association, Faculty Senate and Council of Mid-Level Managers along with the Vice President of Academic Affairs representing the Cabinet, Select Committee for Enrollment members are Dana Cook (co-chair), Susan English, Roddena Kirksey, Paul Long (co-chair), Katie Marceron, Pamela Roberts, Charles Swaim, Paul Tessier, Patrick Tompkins and Lauren Williams.

College leaders have tasked the committee to provide a report by Jan. 30, 2018, so that its work can affect enrollment efforts for the 2018-2019 year.
