Do you have a passion for the stage? Now is the time to show off your acting ability. Thomas Nelson Community College Performing Arts is gearing up to “Chicago” in November at the Dr. Mary T. Christian Auditorium, Hampton campus.
Open auditions for the musical will take place Aug. 27 and Aug. 28 at the Hampton campus in Templin Hall, room 830. Roles are open for those ages 16 and up who may audition one or both day.
Sign up for individual audition slots begins at 6:45 p.m. followed at 7 p.m. by dance/movement call for all auditioning. At 7:30 p.m. there individual appointments will start.
Aspiring cast members are asked to prepare two contrasting musical selections, 16 bars each, and two contrasting monologues not to exceed two minutes each. Those auditioning for dance should wear attire suitable for movement. Ideally, all audition materials should be performed from memory and must be from theatrical sources.
