William Belvin (left) and Carly Titus just missed finishing in the top three in a recent state singing competition.
William Belvin and Carly Titus received honors at the Virginia National Association of Teachers of Singing competition at Shenandoah University on March 1-2. Belvin competed in the College Male Musical Theater division, and Titus in the Female Classical Upper High School division.
In receiving honors, Belvin and Titus, who also attends Tabb High School as a dual enrollment student at Thomas Nelson, finished just outside the top three in their respective categories.
Both were eligible for the Mid-Atlantic Regional competition at Towson University on March 22-23, but were not able to attend because of scheduling conflicts. Belvin is playing Romeo in the College’s production of “Romeo and Juliet.” Titus, meanwhile, has the lead in “Mamma Mia!” at Tabb High School.
