Thomas Nelson Community College Performing Arts will present Disney’s "Beauty and the Beast" Nov. 10 - 19 at the Hampton campus. Performances will take place at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays in the College’s Dr. Mary T. Christian Auditorium, Templin Hall.
Available at tncc.edu/performingarts, tickets are $17 general admission; $15 for students, seniors, military and Thomas Nelson employees and $10 for Thomas Nelson students.
As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, the College and the Educational Foundation will host a dinner theater event called “Be Our Guest” on Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Hampton campus in the Wythe Hall Gallery. The evening includes the 8 p.m. performance of "Beauty and the Beast."
An adaptation of Disney’s live-action film “Beauty and the Beast,” the play takes audiences along for Belle’s fantastic journey. She is a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Casting her fears aside, Belle befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast's hideous exterior. Belle discovers the kind heart and soul of the true prince within much to her delight.
