Thomas Nelson Community College will host its 2018 Open House with activities taking place Thursday, April 5 at the Historic Triangle campus in Williamsburg and Friday, April 20 at the Hampton campus. Activities run 1 – 4 p.m. both days.
Open House attendees can participate in campus tours and meet faculty and staff to learn about admissions, academic programs, student activities and more.
The free event will begin with a workshop at 1 p.m. about admissions, financial aid, and opportunities to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. An information fair will follow from 2 – 4 p.m. featuring representatives from Thomas Nelson’s academic divisions and workforce development units.
The event will also include information about the College’s library; Health, Physical Education and Wellness Center; Career Services; and Disability Support Services.
Founded in 1967, Thomas Nelson is the Peninsula’s Community College, serving Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, Williamsburg, James City County and York County. Thomas Nelson provides associate degree and certificate programs designed for both transfer and direct employment. The College offers workforce training programs and services, as well.
