Work in a long-term care setting while providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed professional nurse. Become a nurse aide and help long-term care residents meet their physical, social, and psychological needs.

The program features low instructor to student ratio and includes a 40-hour clinical internship at an off-campus clinical site. Upon successful completion of the course and practice exams, you can qualify for Virginia’s Certified Nursing Assistant Examination (written and manual skills).

Tuition includes eBook and workbook, background check and urine drug screen, BLS certification, clinical kit (a scrub set, stethoscope, BP cuff, watch w/second hand, gait belt), and a CNA examination voucher valued at $120.

Pre-requisites and class material:

Ability to lift 50 lbs., H.S. Diploma or equivalent, pass a literacy test, ability to pass a background check and urine drug screen. Students must provide white tennis shoes to wear during clinicals to go with the required and provided white scrub set. Students must provide an up-to-date TB test prior to scheduled clinical internship.
