I wasn’t sure if engineering was for me and I figured Thomas Nelson would be a good place to try it out.
Thomas Nelson Community College Engineering student Daniel Montgomery has a succinct plan for his future that includes acceptance to Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering. Thomas Nelson will help Montgomery achieve that goal with transfer agreements that allow students to complete the equivalent of the first two years of a Bachelor’s degree at Thomas Nelson, earn an associate degree and transfer to a public institution in the Commonwealth like Virginia Tech. “I wasn’t sure if engineering was for me and I figured Thomas Nelson would be a good place to try it out.” Montgomery said.
The York River Academy graduate appreciates Thomas Nelson’s affordable tuition and diverse student population. He has enjoyed great academic success at Thomas Nelson and is proud of his induction into the Phi Sigma chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. “I’ve had a lot of good teachers. There’s more one-on-one attention at Thomas Nelson,” he said.
Montgomery expects to earn an Associate of Science in Engineering from Thomas Nelson in May 2018. After completing a Bachelor’s degree, Montgomery plans to pursue graduate studies in Applied Physics and aspires to Design Scientific instrumentation.
