At Virginia Peninsula Community College (VPCC) we provide financially accessible, high quality, comprehensive educational programs, and services to meet the needs of our students. Our course offerings are delivered in a variety of formats to suit different learning styles and meet scheduling needs for day and evening classes. You can complete your classes online, in the classroom or through a combination of methods, in full semester or accelerated class sessions. Our mission is your success!

We are the Peninsula's community college, serving residents of the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson and Williamsburg, and the counties of James City and York.

Applying to the College is free and any person 18 years of age or older who holds a high school diploma or equivalent can take advantage of our academic opportunities. Our campuses offer convenience, while our short-term, two-year and college transfer programs offer many pathways to a rewarding career.

The College reserves the right to evaluate special cases and to refuse admission to applicants when a refusal is in the best interest of the college.

Note : Additional admission criteria exist for our Dual Enrollment, Nursing, and Dental Hygiene students.

The completed application will indicate your domicile status, Student ID number, and MyVPCC username and temporary password. Check your email for follow-up information from Enrollment Management.

Sign in to MyVPCC

(using your MyVPCC username and temporary password)
MyVPCC provides access to important student information and your college email account. You will also have access to our onboarding tool, Navigate, 24 hours after you apply online. You may download the Navigate app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

 

☐ Step 3

Complete the Enrollment Survey

At Virginia Peninsula, we use multiple measures and informed self-placement to determine student readiness for college-level English and Math courses. More information is available on our College Readiness page.

 

☐ Step 4

Apply for Financial Aid

Applying for state and federal financial aid is free. Simply complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Virginia Peninsula Community College's FAFSA school code is 006871. We will only receive your information if we are listed on the FAFSA.
The Financial Aid office will communicate with you through the Message Center in SIS

Assess Your Academic Advising Needs

Special Note: Depending on the time of year, it may be difficult to make an appointment with your advisor within the next few days. You should register for your classes NOW, using the programs of study in the college catalog and the course schedule. Add classes to your cart and register in Navigate like in this video and then review your schedule with your academic advisor at your appointment. This will hold your place in classes and ensure you are taking the right classes for your program.

Register for Classes through Navigate

Navigate is an online platform specifically created for you: a community college student. Access Navigate through MyVPCC.

Attend New Student Orientation

Our New Student Orientation program is accessible anytime. New Student Orientation is a program for all students with no prior college or university enrollment, including Early College high school students.

Order Textbooks Online

Visit our bookstore, your one-stop shop for all the materials you need to succeed.

Pay Tuition
