Early College

Early College

The Early College Program is a partnership between Virginia Peninsula and three school divisions - Newport News Public Schools, Williamsburg/James City County Schools, and the York County School Division. Eligible high school seniors begin college coursework during the fall semester at their high school and transition to the campus of Virginia Peninsula in the spring to continue their studies.

Get started

  1. Speak with your high school counselor regarding participation requirements and eligibility
  2. Complete an online admission application. Upon submission, you will receive a Virginia Peninsula student ID number. Please make note of this number for future use.
  3. Demonstrate college readiness according to the requirements of your high school's Early College Program.
  4. Register for classes in your high school by going to VPCC.DualEnroll.com/login
  5. Attend Early College Advisement Nights at your home high school to ensure you are properly advised and registered for your courses in the spring
  6. Attend Early College Orientation to confirm resources and courses
