Brianna Couser wants to become a marketing executive and envisions herself working up that level at a Fortune 500 company. She's using Virginia Peninsula Community College to launch her dream. "[Virginia Peninsula] has helped me learn how to transition and has shown me how to navigate from one area of my education to the next," said Couser. "I originally planned on attending Shaw University but when [I] realized that I could not afford it, I decided not to give up and I came to [Virginia Peninsula]. It was the best decision I ever made."
Couser is looking to transfer to Old Dominion University or Virginia State University after graduation.
Between studies and a part-time job in retail, she is a Student Government Association senator and an assistant youth coordinator at her church. "Sometimes it's very difficult trying to balance it all, but I have learned that prioritizing the things that are most important in my life is the key,' she said.
