When Karalynn Drechsel decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Accounting at William & Mary, she discovered she would need quite a few prerequisites. Virginia Peninsula was the perfect place to take care of those requirements. "I felt that Virginia Peninsula would allow me to 'test the water.' I could take a few accounting classes and make sure I was on the right path before committing to the master's program," Drechsel said.
After completing her studies at William & Mary, Drechsel plans to start her own business and become a Certified Public Accountant. "Virginia Peninsula accommodates all walks of life. I have made friends that are in so many different stages of life. Some are from other countries, others are fresh out of high school, a few are returning to school, and I've even met some hard-working parents. It's inspiring to see what other people are capable of achieving when they're motivated," Drechsel said.
